To schedule an Individual or Relationship/Family Therapy appointment or join a Therapy Group, visit our client portal or contact us via email at info@healingartscollaborative.com. We do our best to return emails as soon as possible.

Your first appointment is a chance for you and your therapist to get to know each other. You will discuss what brings you to therapy, and your therapist will explain how your work together might look. If you do not vibe with your therapist after your first appointment (or first few appointments), that is okay! We will never be offended by this and will always happy to help you find another therapist at Healing Arts Collaborative or elsewhere.
Virtual Appointments: When your appointment is booked, you will receive a confirmation email and/or text with instructions to access your virtual telehealth appointment. You are invited to bring your own art materials to any virtual meetings. Please reach out to your therapist via text or email if you have trouble accessing your appointment.
In-person appointments: Our office is located at Radical Healing’s CASA, 2003 Chapel Hill Road, Durham NC 27707. Parking is available street-side in front of the building, or in the gravel parking lot on the right-hand side of the building. Enter through the back door of the two-story white house, and wait in upstairs the lobby area. Please be sure to obtain the keypad code from your therapist before arriving. Our office is on the second floor, near an all-gender restroom.
Initial Intake Appointment: $200
Individual Therapy Session: $200
Relationship / Family Therapy Session: $200

We accept payment electronically via credit card, debit card, Health Savings Account (HSA) card, or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card.

We soon plan to be in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (excluding ACA or Medicaid plans), NC State Employees Health Plan, and Aetna. Please contact us with any questions about insurance.
Our scheduling system sends a reminder for scheduled appointments 72 hours ahead of the session. If you do not show for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified your counselor at least 24 hours in advance, you will be responsible for the full cost of your appointment. Additionally, if you are 20 minutes late for a session, you will be charged a cancellation fee and will need to reschedule.
The No Surprises Act was passed in December 2020, under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, with the aim of protecting consumers from receiving unexpected medical bills. The Good Faith Estimate provision of the No Surprises Act federally mandates that healthcare providers must give clients, who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance, an estimate of anticipated healthcare items and services, using what is called a “Good Faith Estimate.” This took effect on January 1, 2022. This new regulation is designed to provide transparency to patients regarding their expected medical expenses and to protect them from surprises when they receive their medical bills. It allows patients to understand how much their health care will cost before they receive services.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of the total expected costs of non-emergency healthcare items or services. At Healing Arts Collaborative, we offer Good Faith Estimates that project out 12 months in advance. Essentially, your estimate will give you a reasonable idea what to expect in terms of therapy costs for one whole year, based on current rates.
-Intends to offer predictability & transparency in how much clients will be charged for healthcare services prior to their appointment.
-Includes all regularly scheduled appointments (i.e. therapy sessions).
-Does NOT include no-shows, late cancellations, or other services related to crisis care, which by definition are unexpected and cannot be predicted for the purpose of compiling a Good Faith Estimate in advance.
-May also include consultations with client collateral contacts, fees related to paperwork requests, and other legal and administrative fees related to client care, when such items are scheduled in advance.
What are my rights as a client?
You have the to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your healthcare will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have a right to dispute the bill. The federal government offers a dispute resolution process for this purpose.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
Good Faith Estimate Disclaimers
The information provided in the Good Faith Estimate is only that: an estimate. Actual healthcare items, services, or charges may differ or change throughout the year, even for long-term established clients.
The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract, and does not bind, obligate, or require any client to obtain healthcare services or items from Healing Arts Collaborative at any time.
There are no federal provisions allowing clients to waive their right to a Good Faith Estimate at this time. As such, Healing Arts Collaborative is required by law to send all ongoing clients new Good Faith Estimates every 12 months; clients cannot opt-out, and are required to acknowledge receipt and understanding of each new Good Faith Estimate in order to comply with federal law so that we may continue working together.
If you have any questions about scheduling a therapy appointment or joining a therapy group, please contact us at info@healingartscollaborative.com or through our Contact Form. In the case of an emergency or symptoms that require urgent care, please visit your nearest crisis center or emergency room. A list of crisis hotlines is available on our Resources page.
