Therapists at Healing Arts Collaborative work from an intersectional lens, meaning we believe that most people experience multiple, layered oppressions. We will work with you to address the impact of those experiences in the context of your individual, relationship + family, or group therapy.

individual therapy

Individual Therapy sessions are typically 53 minutes in length, and take place in our office space at Radical Healing or online via telehealth. In individual art therapy, you and your therapist will work together to help you meet self-determined goals. We always affirm and trust in you as the expert of your own experience.

Individual therapy sessions generally last 53 minutes.

relationship and family therapy

Relationship and Family Therapy sessions are typically 53 minutes in length, and take place in our office space at Radical Healing or online via telehealth. In relationship or family therapy, two or more people in any type of relationship will work with a therapist to help the clients meet self-determined goals. Relationship or family therapy is appropriate for all relationship constellations including chosen and biological families, romantic relationships and polycules, friendships, community relationships, and other interpersonal relationships. Your therapist can offer tools to encourage communication between loved ones and practice effective decision making within relationships.

Relationship/Family therapy sessions generally last 53-90 minutes.

group therapy

Group Therapy sessions typically run 60-90 minutes in length, include 10 or fewer members, and take place in the Group Room at Radical Healing. Therapy groups are intended to serve as safer spaces where group members can give and receive support, and share in healing together. Therapy groups at Healing Arts Collaborative are typically designed around a specific theme.

Group therapy sessions generally last 60-90 minutes.

Therapy FAQ

SCHEDULING YOUR APPOINTMENT

To schedule an Individual or Relationship/Family Therapy appointment or join a Therapy Group, visit our client portal or contact us via email at info@healingartscollaborative.com. We do our best to return emails as soon as possible.

Choose your therapist. To learn more about our therapists and their specialties, visit the OUR TEAM page

Your first appointment is a chance for you and your therapist to get to know each other. You will discuss what brings you to therapy, and your therapist will explain how your work together might look. If you do not vibe with your therapist after your first appointment (or first few appointments), that is okay! We will never be offended by this and will always happy to help you find another therapist at Healing Arts Collaborative or elsewhere.

DIRECTIONS

Virtual Appointments: When your appointment is booked, you will receive a confirmation email and/or text with instructions to access your virtual telehealth appointment. • The No Surprises Act was passed in December 2020, under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, with the aim of protecting consumers from receiving unexpected medical bills. The Good Faith Estimate provision of the No Surprises Act federally mandates that healthcare providers must give clients, who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance, an estimate of anticipated healthcare items and services, using what is called a “Good Faith Estimate.” This took effect on January 1, 2022. This new regulation is designed to provide transparency to patients regarding their expected medical expenses and to protect them from surprises when they receive their medical bills. It allows patients to understand how much their health care will cost before they receive services.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of the total expected costs of non-emergency healthcare items or services. At Healing Arts Collaborative, we offer Good Faith Estimates that project out 12 months in advance. Essentially, your estimate will give you a reasonable idea what to expect in terms of therapy costs for one whole year, based on current rates.

-Intends to offer predictability & transparency in how much clients will be charged for healthcare services prior to their appointment.

-Includes all regularly scheduled appointments (i.e. therapy sessions).

-Does NOT include no-shows, late cancellations, or other services related to crisis care, which by definition are unexpected and cannot be predicted for the purpose of compiling a Good Faith Estimate in advance.

-May also include consultations with client collateral contacts, fees related to paperwork requests, and other legal and administrative fees related to client care, when such items are scheduled in advance.

What are my rights as a client?

You have the to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your healthcare will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have a right to dispute the bill. The federal government offers a dispute resolution process for this purpose.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

    Good Faith Estimate Disclaimers

The information provided in the Good Faith Estimate is only that: an estimate. Actual healthcare items, services, or charges may differ or change throughout the year, even for long-term established clients.

The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract, and does not bind, obligate, or require any client to obtain healthcare services or items from Healing Arts Collaborative at any time.

There are no federal provisions allowing clients to waive their right to a Good Faith Estimate at this time. As such, Healing Arts Collaborative is required by law to send all ongoing clients new Good Faith Estimates every 12 months; clients cannot opt-out, and are required to acknowledge receipt and understanding of each new Good Faith Estimate in order to comply with federal law so that we may continue working together.

WHAT WE THINK WE DESERVE:
An art therapy workshop for self-love and future-dreaming.

Many of us receive messages, throughout our lives, that we are unworthy. Unworthy of love, unworthy of respect, unworthy of joy or pleasure, unworthy of patience, unworthy of safety, unworthy of dignity, care, humanity. This happens to most humans in modern culture, and it becomes compounded as we experience multiple layers of oppression in a white supremacist, cis-heteropatriarchal, ableist, ageist, capitalist society. In this workshop, we make art to reclaim our inherent worthiness, in spite of all that has been hurled at us.

WHO I AM is an art-based workshop series for teens by Yael Divon, MSATC (of Cary Art Therapy) and Cassie Hamrick, ATR-BC, LCMHC (of Healing Arts Collaborative). Each two-hour session involves art-making and teen-centered conversation about identity, self-esteem, and healthy relationships. Welcoming to teens of all backgrounds and identities.
